Defining Customer Personas for Targeted Questions in FeedbackRobot

Introduction

Creating surveys that resonate with specific audience segments is key to gathering actionable feedback. While FeedbackRobot doesn’t (yet) support built-in persona filters, you can still personalize surveys by clearly indicating the target group in your survey title and description and by tailoring questions manually. In this guide, we’ll show you how.

Step 1: Name and Describe Your Survey for Clarity

  1. In Survey Builder, click your survey or create new one
  2. At the top, enter a concise Survey Name that includes the segment for example “Power User Feedback Survey” or “New Subscriber Onboarding.”
  3. Directly beneath, use the Description field to call out who should respond (e.g., “For users with 6+ months of activity”).

Step 2: Select or Import a Template Suited to Your Segment

  1. Click Browse Gallery and choose a template that aligns with your group’s goals, CSAT for long-term users, NPS for trial customers, etc.
  2. Hit Use Survey Template to bring it into your builder.

Step 3: Tailor Questions Manually for Each Group

  1. Go to the Questions tab.
  2. Edit question text to speak directly to your segment, ex. change “How satisfied are you?” to “As a power user, how satisfied are you with our advanced reporting tools?”
  3. Add or remove questions so that every item is relevant to the target group you named in Step 1.

Step 4: Preview, Launch and Communicate Context

  1. Click Preview Survey and scan for any stray generic wording.
  2. When you launch, send a brief note in your invitation—“Power User Survey: share your deep-dive feedback on new analytics!”
  3. This reminder in the email/SMS preview helps respondents recognize they’re in the right place.

Conclusion

By defining customer personas for targeted questions through clear naming, descriptive context, and manual question customization, you’ll deliver surveys that feel personal and relevant, boosting both response quality and completion rates.
